Who hasn't experienced this?
The computer has an inscrutable life of its own, always behaving differently than you do.

In our practice, we also struggle with our IT system every day. Unfortunately, this battle not only involves considerable maintenance and therefore time-consuming work, but the cost of replacing equipment also seems to be an all-consuming black hole.

Recently, our main printer at the reception suffered damage that was beyond repair when a one-cent coin found its way into the printer and left a deep scratch in the drum.

Software updates are also always a joy.
Recently, our computer at the reception responded to the update with a loss of sound from the VOIP phone and the loss of functionality of the Start menu button on the taskbar. The computer in our main consulting room also performed an update without prompting (actually not possible according to the system settings). Initially, the consulting room was out of service for 30 minutes because the computer was unusable. After that, the entire complex printer configuration with its various printer bays disappeared.

This should answer the question of what a doctor does on his afternoon off.
